We will pick up you at your hotel by car and then we will offer you first a panoramic view of the city, near of the sea, where we can show you several interesting places like the city Park, the main urban park of Porto city, with 80 hectares, where you can find big lakes, nature, ducks and several species of birds, then we will visit the fish village in Matosinhos, the great Boavista avenue, since the sea until to the roundabout, where you can see the monument related with the war against to the army of Napoleão Bonaparte during the 19th century. Then we will go to the downtown where you will have opportunity to know the Souls Chapel with its beautiful blue and white tiles representing the life of Sta.Catarina and S.Francisco. Then we will visit the Bolhão market where you can taste some local and fresh products and where you can interact with Porto local sellers. On the way of St Catarina street we will pass on the Grand Hotel, a very old and famous hotel from the 19th century, and in the end of this main commercial street you will know the Majestic Cafe in the Art Nouveau style where you can appreciate the big mirrors, the lamps, and the busts. On the way to Batalha, you will first appreciate the big Coliseu in Art Deco style and the Palladium building made by Marques da Silva. In Batalha there are several highlights like the statue of D. Pedro V, the National Theater of S. João, the St Ildefonso church with its beautiful tiles made by Jorge Colaço, and the Cachorrinhos of Batalha (a traditional place from Porto where you can eat some great hotdogs, that was visited by Anthony Bourdain). We will see several houses with some coat of arms, some of them in ruins until to the St Bento train station, where you can appreciate once more several beautiful tiles representing some historic events of Porto city. From St Bento train station we can see the beautiful Cathedral where Porto was born, but we will see first the Aliados square and its beautiful buildings influenced by the french style from the 19th century. Then we will visit the Clerigos tower, the ex-libris of Porto, Lello bookstore where the author of Harry Potter inspered herself to create her first book in 1997, and the Carmo and Carmelitas church. Then we will visit the Cordoaria garden, and also the photography museum, the old prison of Porto. From this place until to the riverside we will pass on several picturesque streets.
